In congested urban slums in the Philippines children are living in very difficult circumstances. Among these children are many talented and motivated children who would like to attend school on a regular basis.

ANAK enables children to build their own future by providing scholarships to talented children. ANAK currently provides fourty scholars with a scholarship.

Pay back service

It is important not to pamper scholars but to give them responsibility. An important part of the scholarship programme is the so called " Pay back service". During their time as a scholar they are committed to ANAK's activities. Scholars help out by volunteering in the Public Reading Place, organising activities, welcome and tour foreign guests around and so on.

Graduate programme

Before graduation of the scholars, they join the graduate programme. This programme is designed to prepare the graduates for the labour market. Presentation and interviewing skills are the center of attention in this programme.
