Since December 2009  BINHI is a legal entity in the Philippines and is formally called BINHI Creative Arts and Workshops INC. BINHI is an initiative of Edmund Bacia, a local artist who together with friends, helps out children in the urban slum of Banago. Edmund and his team motivate and teach children art as a way of expressing themselves. Every weekend the BINHI classroom is filled with enthusiastic children from the entire community. Het gaat erg goed met de BINHI kids. Inmiddels hebben ze al een aantal succesvolle tentoonstellingen gehouden in de stad Bacolod en zijn ze erin geslaagd om zichzelf onder de aandacht te brengen, maar ook een deel van hun werk te verkopen. Een van de getalenteerde BINHi kids heeft zelfs in de stad een prijs gewonnen omdat hij prachtige kunst maakte van afval materiaal.
